Not a lot happens in this film, which is perfectly in keeping with what the Desert Storm campaign was like for the grunts. This doesnt always make for a rivetting film though - more of a renter than a buyer I would suggest. Decent performances alround - although Saarsgard's eerily etherial acting & demeanour are wearing a little thin now. Coming across like the b*stard child of Full Metal Jacket and The Longest Day, the gene pool here feels diluted. Some of the imagery is wonderful though (in a sick kind of way) - you'll never view a burning oil field the same way again!
