I didn't watch it on Disney as I thought it would be purely for children how wrong was I. HSM1, focuses on a basketball champ Troy, and a brilliant maths genius Gabriella. They meet on new years eve and despite all the things against them and the scorn of their friends, they both audition for the school show. Setbacks happen but they overcome it to win the lead roles and the acceptance of their peers. HSM2 focuses on working through their summer vacation at the country club belonging to two of their class mates who happen to be part of a rich family. The daughter of whom wants Troy for herself and will stop at nothing to get him but love prevails. Summer works out and lessons are learnt. Excellent acting, Very catchy and well sung music. I guarantee you will end up feet tapping and singing along at some point. For girls of all ages no matter how old.
