Every day is filled with action and adventure for White Shepherd Bolt (voice of John Travolta), but then again, Bolt is no ordinary dog...he's a super-dog! Well, that's what Bolt thinks anyway. In reality Bolt plays a super-heroic dog in a TV show, but he has trouble separating the truth and reality. He truly believes he has superpowers, but when Bolt is accidently shipped from his safe Hollywood soundstage to New York City, his world begins to unravel and he learns the truth. Whilst in the big apple, Bolt meets alley cat mittens and TV obsessed Rhino the hamster. Together they begin their biggest adventure yet, to help Bolt find his way home! Who needs superpowers when you have friends?

Finally an animated movie that is not made by Pixar, and had the ability to make me laugh and almost cry, with a mixture of both sad and happy and action packed parts to this film. I feel that this is a film that either the whole family can watch or something that an adult can put on or in a DVD player to keep children, watching it, even a babysitter could put this film in and be happy that the children would be entertained.

I know myself that when I have babysat a few of my family's children I have put this film in and the children have mostly enjoyed it.
