Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, is the story of a wilful 17-year old, Baby (Frances Houseman), who goes on vacation with her parents to the Catskills holiday camp. There's a huge choice of eligible bachelors working there for the summer, however Baby much prefers the look of the rough-and-ready dance instructor, Johnny Castle.
Johnny is facing a emergency, his dance partner Penny has fallen pregnant and has an abortion that goes terribly wrong. Baby's father helps Penny when she falls ill, but incorrectly believes that Johnny is the creep who got her pregnant and orders Baby to stay away. Despite being banned from seeing Johnny, Baby disobeys her father and offers to fill in for Penny and become his dance partner.
Now all Baby needs to do is learn how to dance! As Johnny teaches her the seductive moves in secret he sweeps her off her feet and the pair fall in love. But will her father ever be able to accept Johnny? And will they ever prove he's a good man?
