Inkheart is based on the best-selling book by Cornelia Funke and is a fantasy adventure that sends a father and daughter, who have a passion for books, on an adventure through real and imaginary worlds. Mo Folchart (Brendan Fraser) and his daughter Meggie have a very special gift where they can bring characters out of a book when they read it aloud. But when a character is brought to life from a book, a real person disappears into it. On a trip to a secondhand book shop, Mo hears familiar voices that he remembers from his past. When he finds the book he is shocked to find Inkheart, a book that he?s been searching for since Meggie was three. The book is filled with illustrations of medieval castles, strange creatures and Meggie?s mother, Resa (Sienna Guillory), who vanished into its pages. Mo's plan is to use the book to rescue Resa, but this is stopped when evil, Capricorn (Andy Serkis), from Inkheart, kidnaps Meggie as he discovers she has inherited her father's special gift. Capricorn makes Meggie bring his most powerful ally, the Shadow, to life. Determined to rescue his daughter and banish the characters back to the book, Mo gets together small group of friends and family, some from the real world, some from books and sets out on an adventure to put things right.from£3.29 | RRP:

After reading the book Inkheart, I couldn"t wait to see how it was interpreted for the big screen. In parts it did not follow the book, but if you have not read the book, it doesn"t matter because the film is fantastic! I have watched it several times since I bought it and I can"t wait for the next film in the series!
