Despite the death of Jigsaw, Saw 5 continues with the story and concerns itself with the question, who will carry on Jigsaw's bloody work?
The film opens with a man strapped to a table above a blade pendulum, however, when the grisly machine malfunctions, it's obvious that this isn't the work of the perfectionist Jigsaw. Meanwhile, Agent Strahm (Scott Patterson) attempts to continue the investigation he started in Saw 4, but wakes up to find himself wearing a glass helmet filled with water. Luckily Strahm escapes to resume his investigation but suspects Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor)is playing a part in the new killings.
Although slightly subdued in comparison to its predecessors, Saw 5 sees more in the way of creative plot twists, but don't worry, it still delivers the blood and guts we've come to expect from this series.
