| RRP In a small US costal town a motorcycle gang arrives on holiday. Also in town trying to reconnect with his pregnant girlfriend Karen is businessman Paul Collier. He suggests they hold cycle-riding contests where the winner can claim Karen (he promises to set her free if he wins). After the contests commence Paul crawls away to look for help. Their struggles are convincing and fittingly amusing but don't come here looking for laughs: the conclusion is sobering stuff. The Right Of The Weakest opens like a po-faced Belgian version of The Full Monty pleading for sympathy for its out-of-work heroes who are desperate for both cash and respect. Clubbing together to play the lottery they soon realise more drastic means are called for and turn to former robber Marc Pirmet (writer/director Lucas Belvaux) for advice.

On the road Virgil and John encounter a series of offbeat characters including a nude militant a wheelchair-bound stripper and a carnival human torch (John Cho - Flashforward). As John's confidence grows he becomes increasingly aware of the fact that running away from his gambling problem is not the solution and that he'll only be able to move forward by returning to Las Vegas to face his demons head on.
