Find the best price for more great DVD titles - available during the second half of June

15 June 2012

Earlier this month we pointed you in the direction of some of the DVDs that had only just come out or that were just about to be released – the ones we thought a lot of the visitors to our site might appreciate. Horrible Histories – Series 3 and Horrible Histories – Complete Series 1-3 Box Set, Goon, A Monster in Paris, Coriolanus, The Muppets, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and J. Edgar were just a few of the ones we thought were worth mentioning. These DVDs are now out and available to buy so if you were waiting to see one of these you can order for delivery ASAP.

The second half of June looks as if it will bring another treasure trove of great DVD titles and we will feature a tiny few of those that will be coming out here just to get you started. As we keep reminding you though – we can only cover a fraction of what is going to be available on Find-DVDs virtual shelves –  so please do use our search facilities to find the one that is perfect for your own purpose. If you click on the DVD categories button you will be able to narrow your search down and this ought to make it even easier to find what you are looking for; whether it is something for the children, a documentary, a comedy film or a TV series etc.
One of our favourites here at Find-DVD which is due out on 25/6/2012 is The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. This very funny, emotionally engaging comedy drama tells the story of a group of OAPs who, tempted by a glossy advertisement, set off for Jaipur, India with the promise of life in a luxurious retirement retreat, amid stunning scenery where they will live extravagantly in newly refurbished five-star palatial splendour. Predictably the accommodation, which is run by the young enthusiastic manager Sonny (Dev Patel), is far from that envisaged. It is chaotic and shabbily rundown but in the event the group unexpectedly find themselves embarking on personal journeys of self-discovery which know no bounds and which are not limited by age. This 2012 film based on a 2004 novel by Deborah Moggach stars Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Celia Imrie, Bill Nighy and Ronald Pickup among its star studded cast.
Another one we know is going to be popular is The Woman in Black. If you ever wondered what Harry Potter would do when the Harry Potter films came to an end well this is it. Daniel Radcliffe plays Arthur Kipps, a lawyer who unwittingly finds himself at the centre of a chilling nightmare. He is alone in an isolated creepy mansion in the village of Cryphin Gifford and soon discovers the disturbing fact that some of the local children have been disappearing under mysterious circumstances. He eventually finds out the mansion is haunted by a ghost; a woman dressed entirely in black and that she may be responsible for the children's demise. This excellent film from 2012 is based on the classic ghost horror story by Susan Hill from 1983 and the DVD is out on 18/6/2012.
This bleak, gritty Paris cop crime series which has been on TV recently is another one to look out for. Braquo Season 2 and Braquo Season 1 & 2 are both due out on 18/6/2012. The two series are based on the lives of a team of four officers whose daily routine, investigating the darker side of Parisian life, inevitably causes them to step across the line into the grey area where correct Police procedure borders on the unlawful. This series has been likened to Spiral – another intriguing and very popular French Police murder series. In Season 1 the officers set about investigating events which led to their boss committing suicide and Season 2 sees the now disbanded team members thrown together once again – caught up in a violent gangland war.
Also out this June are;

Kasabian, the British rock band which formed in Leicester in 1997 are vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and backing vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, bassist Chris Edwards, guitarist Jay Mehler and drummer Ian Matthews. This DVD is some amazing footage of their sell-out tour filmed at the O2 arena on 15th December 2011 and features the bands 2011 album Velociraptor.

     Carnage (18/6/2012)

Directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jodie Foster, Kate Winslett and Christoph Waltz, Carnage is based on the play, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza. It tells the story of two sets of parents who get together one evening to discuss their sons' school playground brawl. As the evening progresses it degenerates to the point of no return – and there is absolute carnage!
