The Hunger Games, Marvel's The Avengers and many more fantastic new DVD titles - available to order/pre-order NOW on Find-DVD

July's new DVD releases have included some quite popular titles such as; We Bought a Zoo - the comedy drama starring Matt Damon, 21 Jump Street – a hilarious comedy police action adventure,  John Carter – a Sci-Fi action adventure based on Edgar Rice Burrough's famous series of novels, This Means War – a rom-com where two CIA agents become entangled in a love triangle, Contraband – an action packed crime thriller starring Mark Wahlberg and A Cat in Paris – Oscar nominated animated feature. 

Of course there were many more great DVDs that came out last month – too many to mention here in fact. However, you will easily be able to find anything you want on the Find-DVD site – just type the title into the search bar or make use of our first-rate search facilities which will enable you to refine the results by category, date, most popular, classification/rating, price and so on. 

The Find-DVD team has selected a few new DVD titles to feature here, some coming out in August and some which will be here in September. This is intended just to whet your appetite because as always happens there really are so many new DVDs coming out soon and it is impossible to do justice to them all here. As usual you will find August and September's new releases cover such a wide array of subjects and genres that surely there must be a DVD to suit everyone's taste. 

AUGUST

Wimbledon: Official 2012 Men's Final - Andy Murray V Roger Federer is out on 6/8/2012. Did you miss any of the thrills from Wimbledon this July? Don't despair. You can now re-live every heart stopping moment from this action-packed epic men's final between our own Andy Murray and the amazing Roger Federer – a match which is certain to go down in history. 

Castle - Season 1-3 The first three series of this American TV comedy-drama are out on DVD on 6/8/2012. The main characters are Kate Beckett a NYPD detective and Richard Castle, a famous and highly successful mystery novelist. The pair are initially thrown together when Castle is drafted in to help Beckett get to the bottom of a particular copycat murder case based on one of his own novels. Romantic sexual tension persists throughout their unusual relationship as they join forces and put together their uniquely brilliant, oft-times unorthodox approaches to cracking some of New York's most bizarre homicides. Castle - Season 3 is also out on 6/8/2012 

Delicacy (out on 6/7/2012) is a sophisticated rom-com in French with English subtitles. Starring Audrey Tautou, it tells the story of a recently widowed woman (Nathalie) attempting to rebuild her devastated life as she tries to come to terms with her intense grief over the loss of her soul-mate. As time goes on however she is able to accept that, although her husband could never ever be replaced, she is finally able to include another man into her life. 

Battleship (out on 20/8/2012) This 2012 American Sci-Fi action adventure is reportedly based on the traditional strategic/logical guessing game - battleships. A small crew including some US Naval officers discover they are key to saving the planet from an unknown, incredibly formidable force of Aliens who have invaded Hawaii, imprisoning the inhabitants and inflicting chaos on the surrounding area. As the rest of the world await impending doom, will the small fleet be able to battle it out with these superior extra-terrestrial aggressors, defeat them heroically and liberate the world? Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård and Brooklyn Decker.

SEPTEMBER

The Hunger Games is based on the best-selling 2008 novel written by Suzanne Collins. It is set in Panem, a nation split into 12 districts and the Capitol. The Hunger Games is an annual event in which two young representatives from each district are randomly chosen and are required to fight it out to the death against all other participants. This is a brutally staged games which all citizens of Panem are forced to watch. When Katniss's younger sister is chosen, she volunteers to change places with her. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland and Lenny Kravitz, this box office blockbuster was directed by Gary Ross. The DVD is out on 3/9/2012. 

Marvels The Avengers – 6 disc Box Set and Marvel Avengers Assemble (another great box office hit) are both due out on 17/9/2012. Avengers Assemble stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson and was directed by Joss Whedon. When super-villain Loki gathers together a threatening force designed to take over the world, Nick Fury, director of the international peace keeping organisation S.H.I.E.L.D.  (an agency to which a number of Marvel's super-heroes are affiliated) puts together a team to try and match them. S.H.I.E.L.D. 's members include The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man among others but will their combined powers be enough to save the world from catastrophe? The 6 disc Box Set contains Marvel Avengers Assemble, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 1, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America plus special features.
