| RRP Orphaned Raju, in the company of four elephants, has to perform with them at street corners, in order to keep alive. The back-story is that as an orphan, they have saved his life from a leopard. In time, he makes it big, and starts Pyar Ki Duniya (The World Of Love), a zoo in which various wild animals reside along with his elephants, among whom Ramu is closest to him. Slowly he amasses a fortune, and is able to build his own private zoo, housing tigers, lions, bears, and of course the four elephants. He treats all the animals as his friends. He meets with Tanu, and both fall in love. Tanu's dad, Ratanlal, is opposed to this alliance, but subsequently relents, and permits the young couple to get married.He falls in love with Tanu (Tanuja), but her rich dad (Madan Puri) agrees to their marriage only after some persuasion. However trouble looms soon after as Tanu feels neglected. Things worsen when their child is born, and Tanu, fearing physical harm to her child from the elephants, tells Raju to choose between the elephants and his family. Tanu is unhappy with the amount of time Raju spends with his animal friends, and this causes some bitterness between them. Things do not improve when a child is born, as Tanu fears that one day the child will be harmed by one of the animals, and hence Raju is told to make a choice between his animal friends or his wife and son.When Raju chooses his lifelong friends over wife and son, Ramu decides to bring the estranged couple together, but thanks to the villainous Sarwan Kumar (K.N.Singh), he has to sacrifice his life.

SALOP STEAM RALLY Richard Sturdey visits Salop Steam Rally at Onslow Park and shows us some of the more unusual machines from the 1920s in action, including a 1927 Caterpillar and a Huber and Runeley, also from the US. In the next programme Richard Sturdey continues to describe the attributes of some of the vintage working farm machinery in action at the Salop Steam Rally. Today s machines include 1920s and 30s Nuffield, Caterpillar, International, Mogul, International Crawler, and the Fordson Super Major with a combination of propane gas and diesel powered engines. In the final programme from the Salop Steam Ralley, Richard Sturdey looks at the vintage big-boys machines designed for tractor-pulling ie peforming under extra loads. Tractors at work include Leyland, Fordson, Nuffield, Livery, Allis, Lance, Bulldog and Case. ON THE FARM The first programme finds us in Sussex watching vintage tractors from the 1930s and 40s hard at work, still doing real jobs on the farm mowing, ploughing and hedgecutting. Machines include Fordson, Massey Ferguson, David Brown, Nuffield and Marshall. Back on the farm in the second episode with some more 1940s tractors, this time they are ploughing, drilling and muck-spreading! Machines include those made by Case, Ford, Fiat, Claas, John Deere & Leyland. The final on the farm programme looks at some of the powerful tractors of the 2nd half of the 20th century, working in the fields. Manufacturers include John Deere, Fendt, Ford, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, DOE, Challenger, Lamborghini and Marshall. THE DAVID BROWN STORY The first programme features the story of David Brown Tractors from their early beginnings through to the 1960s. In the second installment we pick up the David Brown story in the 1970s when the use of these well-loved tractors expanded from working on the farm, to the production of industrial models for use on the highways. We look at a number of models hard at work in a variety of situations. In the final installment of the David Brown story, we come up to date, with numerous purchasers, including CASE IH, and the subsequent development and production of new machines.
