Monika Treut writes and directs this German drama. Worried by their 16-year-old daughter's rebellious behaviour, Alex (Ceci Schmitz-Chuh)'s adoptive parents send her to work on a rural horse ranch for the summer. Detesting the hard work and yearning for the city, Alex learns the ropes from riding instructor Nina (Vanida Karun) and gradually warms to both her and the animals. When shy new arrival Kathy (Alissa Wilms) brings her horse to the farm Alex slowly starts to realise she may harbour deeper feelings for her despite her initial hostility.
