Season 2: JAG lawyer Harm Rabb (David James Elliott) gets a personal and professional boost when he's partnered with a beautiful, by-the-book marine, Sarah Mac MacKenzie (Catherine Bell). This classic duo, a fan favorite, will investigate crimes in the military for many seasons to come. And with Admiral Chegwidden (John M. Season 3: Commander Harm Rabb (David James Elliott) and Major Mac MacKenzie (Catherine Bell) both find romance this season, but also suffer heartache. And while they might take on Cuban terrorists, they still manage to make it to the wedding between Bud (Patrick Labyorteaux) and Harriet (Karri Turner)! Co-starring John M. Jackson as Admiral A.J. Chegwidden, JAG digs deep to portray the human side of the military experience and show the bravery of those who give all for their country! Season 4: Their search for the truth takes the JAG team of lawyers around the world, but what happens at home this season rivals any investigation. Harm Robb (David James Elliott) considers leaving Mac (Catherine Bell) behind when his dream of becoming a pilot is realized, just as Admiral Chegwidden (John M. JAG is back and ready for action! Season 5: This season, Harm (David James Elliott) and Mac (Catherine Bell) are reunited when Harm leaves his flying career behind and returns to the Jag office ... and not a moment to soon, as cases aboard carriers, submarines, and even a hijacked plane demand their attention! Season 6: When Judge Advocate General lawyer Harm Rabb (David James Elliott) travels to Russia, he receives shockingly news - he has a younger brother! Meanwhile, back in Washington Mac MacKenzie (Catherine Bell) becomes engaged and plans her wedding, until Harm boldly makes a confession, forcing her to question her conclusion. Season 7: This season, Judge Advocate General lawyers Harm Rabb (David James Elliott) and Mac MacKenzie (Catherine Bell) both find themselves single again, as they re-explore their relationship while on missions in the Indian Ocean and in post-9/11 Afghanistan. And as Admiral Chegwidden (John M. • Groundhog Day [1993]Groundhog Day | DVD | (18/02/2002) from £7.55   |  Saving you £12.44 (164.77%)   |  RRP £19.99

Bill Murray does warmth in Groundhog Day, a romantic fantasy about a wacky weatherman forced to relive one strange day over and over again, until he gets it right. Snowed in during a road-trip expedition to watch the famous groundhog encounter his shadow, Murray falls into a time warp that is never explained but pays off so richly that it doesn't need to be. Director Harold Ramis (who co-starred with Murray in Ghostbusters) takes an absurd situation and explores its every imaginable comic possibility. The elaborate loop-the-loop plot structure cooked up by screenwriter Danny Rubin is crystal-clear every step of the way, but it is Murray's world-class reactive timing that makes the jokes explode, and we end up looking forward to each new variation. Because none of the other characters are aware that Groundhog Day is continually repeating itself, Murray goes through a repertoire of responses, from conniving lust for Rita (Andie MacDowell) to gleeful nihilism to a Zen resignation worthy of Buster Keaton. Groundhog Day manages the rare feat of producing belly laughs in abundance and also being genuinely wise about the human condition. --David Chute, Amazon.com On the DVD: the disc presents the movie in a 1.85:1 ratio and with Dolby surround sound. There are trailers for Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters and Multiplicity, along with filmographies for Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Andie McDowell and Chris Elliot. This remastered edition also comes with an extended documentary "The Weight of Time", which offers insights into the "European"-style script and production difficulties, but is a little over-lavish in its praise of the actors on set. Thought-provokingly, the documentary also touches upon the spiritual nature of the movie and what it has meant to an audience beyond being a simple comedy. Also included here is a director’s commentary by Ramis which, although informative, has too many long breaks and would surely have benefited from the addition of Bill Murray to the conversation. --Nikki Disney

  • Trading Places [1983]Trading Places | DVD | (02/12/2002) from £4.99   |  Saving you £8.00 (160.32%)   |  RRP £12.99

In this crowd-pleasing 1983 comedy of high finance about a homeless con artist who becomes a Wall Street robber baron, Eddie Murphy consolidated the success of his startling debut in the previous year's 48 Hours and polished his slick-winner persona. The turnabout begins with an argument between super-rich siblings, played by Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche: are captains of industry, they wonder, born or made? To settle the issue, the meanies construct a cruel experiment in social Darwinism. Preppie commodities trader Dan Aykroyd (perfectly cast) is stripped of all his worldly goods and expelled from the firm, and Murphy's smelly derelict is appointed to take his place, graduating to tailored suits and a world-class harem in record time. Eventually the two men team up to teach the nasty old manipulators a lesson, cornering the market in frozen orange juice futures in the process. Director John Landis (The Blues Brothers) doesn't have the world's lightest touch, but he hits most of the jokes hard and quite a few of them pay off. Trading Places is also a landmark film for fans of Jamie Lee Curtis. --David Chute, Amazon.com
