Einsteins Theory of Relatively says that time travel is possible if you re going forward in time, but finding a way to travel backwards requires breaking the speed of light. Do we have the capabilities to do this? Is life on Earth unique, are we truly alone or do life forms exist elsewhere, and would they be interested in interacting with us? These are just some of the incredible concepts that Morgan freeman delves into with the help of the greatest scientists alive today in this truly mind blowing set of programmes.

Inspired by a true story, Dolphin Tale is about courage, ingenuity, and never giving up. Sawyer (Nathan Gamble) is a young boy who's struggling with school and doesn't have many friends other than his cousin Kyle (Austin Stowell). When Kyle, a star swimmer, joins the army to earn money for college and is called to active duty, it looks like Sawyer is destined to spend his summer alone tinkering in the garage and attending summer school. Sawyer stumbles upon a dolphin that's been severely injured, becomes fascinated by dolphins, and is suddenly intellectually engaged like never before. In spite of his shyness, he forms a friendship with marine rescue doctor Clay (Harry Connick Jr.) and his daughter Hazel (Cozi Zuehlsdorff) and, more importantly, a special and very powerful bond with the rescued dolphin, who's dubbed Winter. As the newly formed team struggles to save Winter's life and ensure her continued safety, financial concerns, an accident that leaves Kyle crippled for life, and a hurricane all seem to join forces against them. In the end, it is Sawyer's determination, coupled with a little bit of luck and a lot of ingenuity from an army doctor (Morgan Freeman) who specializes in prosthetics, that helps make each member of the team, including Kyle and Winter, whole again. The talented cast does a great job of creating completely believable characters, but Gamble, Zuehlsdorff, Connick, Freeman, Stowell, and of course Winter, who plays herself, all deserve special mention. While the story of an injured animal rescued and rehabilitated has certainly been told before, this film is emotionally powerful and will absolutely captivate children and adults alike. The dramatic story of the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Rugby has long been viewed in South Africa as a game for the white population and the country's success in the sport has been a true source of Afrikaner pride. When the 50-year-old policies and entrenched injustices of apartheid were finally overthrown in 1994 Nelson Mandela's new government began rebuilding a nation badly in need of racial unity. So the world was watching when South Africa played host to the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Though they had only one non-white player the South African Springboks gained supporters of all colours as they made an improbable run into the final match where they beat the heavily favored New Zealand team. When Mandela himself marched to the center of the pitch cloaked in a Springbok jersey and shook hands with the captain of the South African team two nations became one. Oscar winner Morgan Freeman and director Cliff Bestall will tell the emotional story of that cornerstone moment and what it meant to South Africa's healing process.

Unforgiven is a modern classic that summarizes everything I feel about the Western director/star Clint Eastwood told the Los Angeles Times. This American Film Institute Top-100 American Movies selection rode off with four 1993 Academy Awards including Best Picture Director Supporting Actor (Gene Hackman) and Editing (Joel Cox). Eastwood and Morgan Freeman play retired outlaws who pick up their guns one last time to collect a bounty. Richard Harris is an ill-fated killer-for-hire. And Hackman is a lawman of sly charm...and chilling brutality. Unforgiven is a Western for the ages (Kenneth Turan Los Angeles Times).

Robert Mitchum and Jean Simmons team in this outstanding example of classic Noir. Directed by Otto Preminger (Laura The Man with The Golden Arm). Mitchum is at his best as Frank Jessup an ambulance driver driven and ensnared by Simmons who demonstrates her own brilliant talents in this compelling plot that leads to a taut and suspenseful climax.
Joseph Mankiewicz's moody 1947 classic The Ghost and Mrs Muir is less a ghost story than a romantic fantasy, a handsome drama of impossible love. Independent young widow Lucy Muir (the luminous Gene Tierney), desperate to escape her uptight in-laws, falls in love with a grand seaside house and moves in, only to discover the cantankerous ghost of the hot-tempered Captain Gregg (a histrionically flamboyant performance by Rex Harrison). Lucy refuses to let the bombastic captain frighten her away, earning his respect, his friendship, and later his love. They team up to turn the captain's salty memoirs into a bestseller, but as his affection grows he fades away, leaving Lucy free to undertake a more worldly suitor, notably a charismatic children's author (George Sanders at his smarmy smoothest) with his own guarded secret. Charles Lang's melancholy black-and-white photography and Bernard Herrmann's haunting score set the tone for this sublime adult drama, and Tierney delivers one of her most understated performances as the resolute Mrs Muir, Mankiewicz turns this ghost story into a refreshingly mature and down-to-earth romance. --Sean Axmaker
