After a violent shipwreck, onetime billionaire Oliver Queen (series star STEPHEN AMELL) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, Oliver successfully saved his city with the help of his team including former soldier John Diggle (series star DAVID RAMSEY), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (EMILY BETT RICKARDS), former protégé Roy Harper (COLTON HAYNES), street-savvy Rene Ramirez (series star RICK GONZALEZ), metahuman Dinah Drake (series star JULIANA HARKAVY), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (ECHO KELLUM) and Earth-2 Laurel Lance (series star KATIE CASSIDY). Following the untimely arrival of godlike being The Monitor (series regular LaMONICA GARRETT), Oliver Queen left his home, his family, and his team behind to take on his most challenging battle yet, knowing the cost may be his life. But this time it's not just his city he's seeking to protect it's the entire multiverse: everything that ever was or ever will be. In ARROW's eighth and final season, Oliver's quest will send him on a journey where he is forced to look back at his years as the Green Arrow and confront the reality of the ultimate question: what is the true cost of being a hero?

  • Tarzan 2Tarzan 2 | DVD | (08/08/2005) from £5.69   |  Saving you £14.30 (251.32%)   |  RRP £19.99

Whereas the original Tarzan tells the story of a man raised by gorillas who learns to bring together the human and animal worlds, Tarzan 2 is a prequel, of sorts, focusing on a chapter from Tarzan’s childhood where he realizes he is not an ape and sets out to discover his true identity. The young misfit runs away from his loving mother, Kala (voiced by Glenn Close), and wanders up the Dark Mountain to come face to face with the monstrous Zugor. But all is not serious in this 72-minute boondoggle; there is Disney’s usual foray into frivolity by way of a few wisecracking sidekicks--a couple of gorilla brothers named Uto and Kago, and their nettlesome Mama Gunda (voiced by Estelle Harris, a laudable choice). Despite the star-studded voice cast, there is a sense of re-tread ground here, and the story (loosely based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ distinctive tale) shows signs of formulaic Disney. Nonetheless, Phil Collins’ trio of original songs livens the pace to make the effort a short-lived smile. (Ages 6 to 14) --Lynn Gibson, Amazon.com

The luminescent lines and shimmering surfaces of Tron: Legacy will tantalise anyone who's lusted after the latest smartphone. The long-ago disappearance of his computer-genius father has left Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund, Four Brothers) with existential ennui and a lot of money. When he discovers his father's secret workshop, he gets sucked into a computerised realm ruled by a megalomaniac computer program named Clu--who just happens to be his father's virtual doppelganger. To find his real father (Jeff Bridges, reprising his role from the original Tron, with a bit of his role from The Big Lebowski thrown in for kicks), Sam has to fight in gladiatorial games, drive in digital demolition derbies, and be stripped and dressed by slinky pneumatic babes. For all the techno-babble and quasi-philosophy the characters spout, this is a movie without an idea in its shiny head. It would be pointless to describe the many sillinesses because Tron: Legacy isn't actually trying to be smart; it's trying to look cool. It succeeds. Olivia Wilde (House) looks like the coolest action figure ever (if the entire movie could be nothing but the shot of her lounging on a futuristic sofa, it would be a masterpiece of avant-garde gizmo-fetishism). The facemasks are cool, the glowing skintight outfits are cool, the light-cycles are really, really cool--and let's be honest, it's all about the light-cycles. That's what the audience for Tron wants, and that's what Tron: Legacy delivers. --Bret Fetzer

  • My Best Friend's Wedding [1997]My Best Friend's Wedding | DVD | (18/02/2002) from £4.80   |  Saving you £8.19 (170.62%)   |  RRP £12.99

One of the best romantic comedies of the 1990s, My Best Friend's Wedding not only gave Julia Roberts a delightful vehicle for her crowd-pleasing comeback, but it further distinguished itself by avoiding the conventional plotting of the genre. She plays a prominent Chicago restaurant critic whose best friend (Dermot Mulroney) is a former lover from her college days with whom she'd made a binding pact: if neither of them were married by the age of 28, they'd marry each other. Just when they're about to reach the deadline of their agreement, Mulroney arrives in Chicago to introduce Roberts to his seemingly perfect fiancée (Cameron Diaz) and announce their wedding in just three days. That leaves the shocked Julia with just three short days to sabotage the wedding and marry the man she now realises she's loved all along. With potential heartbreak waiting in the wings, she'll either get what she wants or pay the price for her selfish behaviour, and Ronald Bass' cleverly constructed screenplay keeps us guessing to the very end. It's no surprise that this was one of the box-office smashes of 1997. --Jeff Shannon, Amazon.com On the DVD: My Best Friend's Wedding is presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and there is very little grain or noise, the only blurring coming from those soft focus moments. There are two "making-of" documentaries, one produced by HBO and the other a general behind the scenes mix of fly on the wall footage and interviews with cast and crew. Masquerading as helpful hints for the soon to be wed there's also a short featurette called "Wedding Do's and Don'ts". You can also sing along with one of the film's more bizarre moments; the fish restaurant rendition of "Say a Little Prayer", check out the pictures in the wedding album and read the filmographies. --Kristen Bowditch
