This remake of the classic horror film follows a family that inherit a spectacular house, only to find themselves trapped within it, pursued by powerful and vengeful entities.
Thirteen Ghosts: The family may have moved in but the ghosts aren't moving out in this special-effects update of William Castle's classic 1960s shocker... Darkness Falls: A young man Kyle (Kley) is considered insane by everyone in town with the exception of his childhood girlfriend Caitlin (Caufield) and her younger brother Michael (Cormie). Kyle must confront his fears and his past to save Michael from the hands of a small town's legendary evil the Tooth Fairy. Night Of The Living Dead - The Remake: It's a new night for terror ... and a new dawn in horror movie-making when special-effects genius Tom Savini (creator of the spectacularly gruesome make-up in 'Friday The 13th' and 'Creepshow') brings modern technology to this colourful remake of George A. Romero's 1968 cult classic. Dead bodies are returning to life and eating human flesh! A group of survivors seeks refuge in a farmhouse hoping to protect themselves from the hordes of advancing zombies. Trapped and alone they fight for their lives... hoping this horrible nightmare will come to an end. Who will survive the night of the living dead?
The thrilling sequel to Cabin By The Lake. Mysteriously reappearing after his apparent death Stanley poses as second unit director J.C. Bender. But once he calls ""action "" all lives are at stake as his twisted artistic vision recreates the actual lake murders. This film won't wrap until Stanley shoots one last electrifying scene. Who will end up making it to the end credits?!
Shades of Rollerball! Director Ernest Dickerson and executive producer Wesley Snipes ponder the sport of the future and come up with... "Futuresport", a combination of handball, ice hockey, and skateboard hot-dogging begun as an inner-city alternative to gang warfare and transformed into a glitzy media sensation. Dean Cain stars as the reigning Futuresport hero, a cocky glory hound who counts his cash and "popularity index" ratings with a smug grin until his narcissism costs him the championship game. As a ruthless terrorist group pushes the world to the brink of war, the suddenly altruistic Cain hatches a plan to bring Futuresport back to its roots. With the help of reporter (and former flame) Vanessa Williams and the game's creator (a rastah-inflected Snipes, who gives himself the film's best role), Cain proposes a winner-take-all game to settle the territorial dispute. Beefy former TV "Superman" Cain makes a better reformed hero than a snotty superstar and looks great in the game scenes, but Snipes steals the film with his funky turn as the inner-city guru with more on his mind than the game. Dickerson gives this TV film a handsome look and even injects a little grit into the otherwise bland screenplay, but apart from the zippy game scenes (which Dickerson films with an electrified energy), it's a familiar and rather flat bit of science fiction hokum. --Sean Axmaker, Amazon.com
