Meredith Baxter stars as US President Harriet Franklin who learns that domestic terrorists have skyjacked the passenger jet liner on which her pilot brother Joseph (Scott Valentine) is captain. Franklin must now choose between family and the safety of the people on the ground as she races against time to avert disaster.
It's supposed to be a paradise holiday; a group of five young friends travel to Panama for the vacation of a lifetime. While partying, they meet Carmen, a beautiful native, with stories about a stunning waterfall deep in the jungle. Other locals caution them against the journey, warning them that those who have set out in search of the waterfall have mysteriously disappeared. Ignoring the warnings the group set off to find the hidden oasis. What begins as a fun outing quickly turns terrifying when their guide mysteriously vanishes. As night closes in, the friends realise that they're being stalked by a ravenous creature. As they try to escape, it becomes clear that the legend of the Chupacabra has some truth to it after all
