Grandmaster Melle Mel is an old school Hip Hop artist who first came to prominence with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. The band broke worldwide and out of the confines of the Hip Hop genre with The Message in 1982 and again with White Lines (Don't Do It) the following year in 1983. Over the years Melle Mel has expanded into various fields away from music including film and also the publication of a book but music remains the main focus of his work. In 2007 he and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five became the first Rap group to be inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall Of fame. As the title suggests the DVD was filmed in Europe during the Hip Hop Anniversary tour in 2008 and features Melle Mel performing to an excited and full on appreciative audience.
