  Released from prison after six long years Joey Larabito does not seem the type of guy to have committed a murder.   Ex-cop Tom Coletti (Frank Vincent) supervises the destruction of corporate bonds redeemed by a New Jersey bank. After a life and career shattered by alcohol he hopes to regain his daughter's respect by raising enough money to help her leave West New York and escape her abusive husband. He plans to steal a small number of bonds from each bank shipment without raising suspicion and have a small-time fence from the old neighborhood find a buyer for the stolen paper. The local mob boss angry because he is not cut in on the deal has the fence brutally murdered and Tom becomes the target of both the mob and the original buyers each seeking to up the theft into a major score.
