Ross is unsuccessful in the fight and is forced to eject from his own rig, landing himself behind enemy lines. Eight-part crime drama starring John Turturro and Riz Ahmed. New York student Naz (Ahmed) embarks on a wild night out with a mysterious woman after picking her up in his dad's cab. The next morning he finds her stabbed to death in his bed. With no recollection of the previous night's events, Naz flees the scene but is quickly brought in by the city's police and identified as the main suspect for the victim's murder. After he is denied a legal representative, defence lawyer John Stone (Turturro) steps in to help Naz prove his innocence. As he awaits prosecution on Rikers Island, Naz adapts to the politics of life on the inside while his legal team try to piece together what happened on the night of the crime. The episodes are: 'The Beach', 'Subtle Beast', 'A Dark Crate', 'The Art of War', 'The Season of the Witch', 'Samson and Delilah', 'Ordinary Death' and 'The Call of the Wild'.
A wimpy remake of an already anaemic movie (the 1947 Rita Hayworth vehicle Down to Earth), this glitzy musical from 1980 improbably stars Olivia Newton-John as a heavenly muse sent here to help open a roller-derby disco. Gene Kelly is mixed up in this well-meaning but goofy effort to fuse nostalgia with late-70s glitter-ball trendiness, and he looks just plain silly. Directed by Robert Greenwald, the film doesn't even work as decent kitsch. --Tom Keogh, Amazon.com
Masters of horror Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham revisit their landmark film that launched Craven's directing career and influenced decades of horror films to follow: The Last House On The Left.
Love is a weakness to be exploited and betrayed. Starring Bob Hoskins Michael Caine and Cathy Tyson 'Mona Lisa' is a classic drama written and directed by Neil Jordan about a driver (Hoskins) who falls for his employer - high-class prostitute Simone (Tyson).
With spies like these who needs enemies? They're double agents without a sneaking suspicion of their assignment. But if it has anything to do with comedy it's sure to be ""mission accomplished"" for Saturday Night Live alumni Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd romping through their first movie together. As two government desk jockeys who cheat their way through a civil-service entry exam and (incredibly) become globetrotting undercover operatives Aykroyd and Chase generate the verv

Alistair Sim's Scrooge is an all-time favourite Christmas family film and a genuine classic of British cinema. Scrooge is also the definitive big screen adaptation of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' one of the world's best loved Christmas stories
This 1984 version of the Dickens' classic `A Christmas Carol ' directed by Clive Donner stars George C. Scott as Ebenezer Scrooge. A miserable old man who hates the festive season is taught the true meaning of Christmas in this definitive version of Dickens' Yuletide tale.
This ferocious movie tells the story of the Battle of Thermopylae in which 300 Spartans fought to the death against the massive Persian army.
Arthurian mythology and modern-day decay seem perfect complements to each other in Terry Gilliam's drama/comedy/fantasy The Fisher King. Shock jock Jack Lucas (Jeff Bridges) makes an off-handed radio remark that causes a man to go on a killing spree, leaving Lucas unhinged with guilt. His later, chance meeting with Parry (Robin Williams), a homeless man suffering from dementia, gets him involved in the unlikely quest for the Holy Grail. The rickety and patently unrealistic stand that insanity is just a wonderful place to be and that the homeless are all errant knights wears awfully thin, but, there are numerous moments of sad grace and violent beauty in this film. The screenplay by Richard LaGravenese launched his successful career and his smart wordplay helped garner Mercedes Ruehl an Oscar as Lucas' girlfriend. --Keith Simanton
Hollywood grande dame Faye Dunaway the Oscar-winning star of such cinematic milestones as Bonnie and Clyde and Chinatown gives a typically powerful performance as a domineering parent in this explosive drama about two lethal con-artists who kidnap the children of a struggling single mother played by Desperate Housewives' Nicollette Sheridan. Garrett James (Oscar nominee Michael O'Keefe Too Young To Die?) and his wife Donna seem the perfect neighbours
In Cross of Iron Sam Peckinpah weighs in on World War II from the German point of view. The result is as bleak, if not quite as bloody, as one expects from the director of The Wild Bunch, in part because this 1977 film was cut to ribbons by nervous studio executives. The assorted excerpts that remain don't constitute an exhilarating or even an especially thrilling battle epic. The war is grinding to a close, and veterans like James Coburn's Steiner are grimly aware that it's a lost cause. The battlefield is a death trap of sucking mud and barbed wire, and the German generals (viz., the martinet played by James Mason) seem to pose a bigger threat to the life and limbs of Steiner's men than the inexorable enemy. Not even Peckinpah's famous sensuous exuberance when shooting violence is much in evidence; the picture is a depressive, claustrophobically overcast experience. The bloody high (or low) point isn't a shooting; it's a wince-inducing de-penis-tration during oral sex. For a fun time with the men in (Nazi) uniform, try Das Boot instead. --David Chute, Amazon.com

The Breakfast Club (Dir. John Hughes 1985): Without doubt John Hughes' The Breakfast Club is one of the greatest teen movies of all-time if not the best. Without it we might not have witnessed the phenomenal rise of the 'Brat Pack'; the group of actors synonymous with the teen films of the '80s. They were five teenage students with nothing in common faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their High School library. At 7am they had nothing to say but
