This catastrophic event ignites brutal power struggles, unexpected alliances, and fierce rivalries among the city's criminal factions. Key players such as the Wallaces, Luan, Lale, and various street gangs face devastating consequences as personal vendettas intertwine with professional conflicts, leading to violent turf wars. Amidst this turmoil, Elliot Finch, formerly an undercover cop turned top-level criminal, navigates his new role alongside the Dumanis, striving to maintain control in the increasingly volatile underworld.
2016 BRITISH INDEPENDENT FILM AWARD winner; Best Debut Director, Best Screenplay, Best supporting actress. Shideh and her family live amid the chaos of the Iran-Iraq war. With Tehran under the constant threat of aerial bombardment, her husband is drafted and sent to the frontlines by the army, leaving Shideh all alone to protect their young daughter, Dorsa. Soon after he leaves, a missile hits their apartment building and while failing to explode, a neighbour dies under mysterious circumstances and Dorsa's behaviour becomes increasingly erratic. Shideh finds herself slowly drawn into the ensuing turmoil. Searching for answers, she learns from a superstitious neighbor that the cursed missile might have brought with it a djinn a malevolent Middle-Eastern spirit that travels on the wind.
One year after the violent reckonings of season one, the map and soul of London has been redrawn. The surviving Wallaces are scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and Elliot is now being forced to work for the Investors. To restore order, the investors have aligned behind heroin baron Asif Afridi and together they have installed a new ruling force in London in the form of brutal gang leader - Koba. His vision for the criminal landscape is a dictatorship, a world in which old school gangster codes don't exist and in which he holds a complete monopoly over London's drug trade. But this monopoly can't last forever. The gangs are fighting back - who will win the battle for London's soul?
