The Tarnished Angels
Directed by the great Budd Boetticher (Ride Lonesome Comanche Station and East of Sumatra) Seminole is notable for offering a sympathetic representation of Native Americans. Rock Hudson stars as officer Lance Caldwell who is assigned to Fort King in the Everglades. A boyhood friend of Seminole Indian chief Osceola (Anthony Quinn) Caldwell opposes the maniacal Major Degan's (Richard Carlson) plans to wipe out the local Seminole tribe. Caldwell is rescued by Osceola after a violent battle and finds himself swiftly court-martialled. When Osceola returns to Fort King in an attempt to initiate peace he is brutally murdered and Caldwell framed for the crime. Can truth prevail? Superior western fare tautly scripted from his own story by Charles K. Peck Jr. Seminole thrillingly meshes action betrayal and racial politics. Look out for Lee Marvin as surly cavalry Sergeant Magruder.
You Were Never Lovelier (Dir. William A. Seiter): In this lavish Hollywood musical the headstrong daughter (Hayworth) of a powerful Argentine hotelier has to contend with her father's attempts to get her to marry... Cover Girl (Dir. Charles Vidor): Rita Hayworth Academy Award winner Gene Kelly Phil Silvers and Eve Arden star in this lavishly produced musical about a nightclub dancer from Brooklyn who leaves her sweetheart after winning a Cover Girl contest - only to learn that fame and fortune are no substitute for true love. Rusty Parker is a chorus girl at a nightclub run by her sweetheart Danny McGuire. Driven by ambition she enters a ""Cover Girl"" contest. When Coudair the magazine's publisher discovers that she is the granddaughter of a former Broadway belle with whom he had been in love Rusty wins the contest. Top Hat (Dir. Mark Sandrich): Following a case of mistaken identity dancer Jerry (Astaire) follows Dale (Rogers) the girl of his dreams to Europe and tries to win her heart through song and dance routines. This most lavish of musicals from Hollywood's golden era features lyrics and music by Irving Berlin. Lover Come Back (Dir. Delbert Mann): Jerry Webster (Hudson) and Carol Templeton (Day) are rival Madison Avenue advertising executives who each dislike each other's methods. After he steals a client out from under her cute little nose revenge prompts her to infiltrate his secret VIP campaign in order to persuade the mystery product's scientist to switch to her firm. Trouble is the product is phony and the scientist is Jerry who uses all his intelligence and charm to steal her heart!
Life is no picnic in the frigid wilderness of 1800s Alaska. Conniving businessman Paul Blake (Steve Cochran) and his right-hand man Frank Hudson (Hugh O'Brian) brutally murder a native man, stealing his maps and attacking his dog. Meanwhile, valliant Captain Peter Keith (Rock Hudson) and his wife Dolores (Marcia Henderson) arrive in the town's dock with a hefty cargo of furs, hoping to return home to North America before winter hits. The two villains are determined to destroy their plans, conspiring to keep their boat docked until conditions are too icy to sail in. Interior decorator Jan Morrow (Doris Day) and composer Brad Allen (Rock Hudson) share a phone line. Brad keeps the line occupied all day talking to his girlfriends, which annoys Jan terribly and animosity between them builds up.They, however, have never met and when by chance Brad sees Jan, he decides to add her to his list of conquests. Knowing how she feels about him, he poses as an innocent Texan country boy named Rex Stetson to win her, a plan which seems to work.

Titles Comprise: A Farewell To Arms (Dir. Charles Vidor) (1957): This dense adaption of Ernest Hemingway's novel features Rock Hudson as American soldier Lt. Henry and his ill-fated love affair with British Nurse Catherine portrayed by Jennifer Jones during World War I. The two lovers will stop at nothing to be together but Lt. Henry's internal struggles ultimately threaten the relationship. Hemingway's theme of questioning the nature of war and fighting is fully recognised under Charles Vidor's direction. Hemingway's Adventures Of A Young Man (Dir. Martin Ritt) (1962): Nick Adams leaves his rural Michigan home to embark on an eventful cross-country journey. He is touched and affected by his encounters with a punch-drunk ex-boxer a sympathetic telegrapher and an alcoholic advanceman for a burlesque show. After failing to get a job as reporter in New York he enlists in the Italian army during World War I as an ambulance driver. His camaraderie with fellow soldiers and a romance with a nurse he meets after being wounded propel him to manhood. The Snow Of Kilimanjaro (Dir. Henry King) (1952): Based on the Ernest Hemigway novel of the same name Peck plays the part of a wounded hunter who is accompanied by two young women in the African wilds. Each of them tries to analyse his or her past life. Under My Skin (Jean Negulesco) (1950): After expatriate American jockey Danny Arnold double-crosses ruthless gambler Louis Bork he flees Italy with his adoring son Joe who isn't aware of his father's lies and corruption. While in France he begins a relationship with a beautiful French nightclub singer and buys a problematic racehorse that no one seems to be able to train. After Joe suggests that the horse has a future as a jumper Danny converts him to the steeplechase and turns him into a consistent winner. When Bork shows up and tells him he must lose the big race or die Danny must weigh his life against his son's faith that he has become a man of honor.

The womb instigates a rapid growth rate which causes the child to grow into adulthood within a matter of weeks. All is not well though as the child begins to exhibit some horrific tendencies.....

When churlish spoiled rich man Bob Merrick foolishly wrecks his speed boat the rescue team resuscitates him with equipment that's therefore unavailable to aid a local hero Dr. Wayne Phillips who dies as a result. Phillips had helped many people and when Merrick learns Phillips' secret to give selflessly and in secret he tries it in a ham-handed way. The result further alienates Phillips' widow Helen with whom Merrick has fallen in love. Merrick's persistence causes another tragedy and he must remake his life including going back to medical school in an attempt to make amends and win her love.
