Eureka Entertainment to release PULSE, the slick, suspenseful techno-horror and VHS favourite from director Paul Golding, on Blu-ray for the first time in the UK as part of the Eureka Classics range from 22 February 2021. The first print run of 2000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase and Collector's Booklet. In every second of every day, it improves our lives. And in a flash, it can end them. In today's world of modern conveniences, everything we rely on is run by electricity. But what happens if the power we take for granted turns against us? Old man Holger knows. He claims electricity is a living presence, whose voice can only be silenced by getting rid of anything that can hear it. Bill Rockland (Cliff De Young; Shock Treatment, Flight of the Navigator) however, refuses to believe him. It must have been an accident when an electric spark ruptured the gas pipe that nearly killed Bill's son (Joey Lawrence). And it's surely a coincidence when his wife (Roxanne Hart) is severely scalded by their electric water heater. But when his own power tools attack him and an electrical fire turns their home into a blazing inferno, Bill realises Holger may have been right after all, and perhaps the time has come to finally pull the plug! A VHS favourite, Pulse returns to home video on Blu-ray for the first time in the UK as part of Eureka Classics. Special Edition: Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase (First Print Run of 2000 Copies Only) | 1080p presentation on Blu-ray | LPCM 2.0 audio | Optional English SDH | Brand new audio commentary by author and film historian Amanda Reyes | Tuning in to Tech Horror video essay by writer and film historian Lee Gambin | PLUS: A Limited-Edition Collector's Booklet featuring a new essay by film scholar and author Craig Ian Mann (First Print Run of 2000 Copies Only)

Travelling back to the dark brutal past of 13-century England IRONCLAD: BATTLE FOR BLOOD plunges us headlong into one of the most violent periods in English medieval history - a few good men fought against insurmountable odds to defend their country from bloodthirsty Celtic Tribes. IRONCLAD: BATTLE FOR BLOOD is the continuing story of honour and action and excitement. BLOOD WILL RUN. Gathered together by young HUBERT (Tom Rhys Harries) a small band of hired swords gather inside his families castle intent on holding off evil Celtic Tribesmen hell-bent on revenge for the death of their leaders’ son: a young mercenary named GUY (Tom Austen) whose soul is wracked with guilt over the atrocities he has committed during the days and years after the great battle of Rochester Castle and his burgeoning feelings for Kate his cousin (Roxanne McKee) ; battlehardened mercenaries such as BERENGER (David Caves) who fight not for God and country for money and bloodlust. IRONCLAD marks the fourth feature as director of Jonathan English from a script written by himself and Stephen McDool. The producers are Rick Benattar (SHOOT ‘EM UP REAL STEEL) Andrew Curtis (LOST IN LA MANCHA LIVING GODDESS) and Jonathan English who have assembled a high-impact team including director of photography Zoran Popovic and editor Laurens van Charante.
A story of teenage tearing-away in 1950s America, The Young Stranger fails to make a serious, gripping narrative of the events that follow the somewhat innocuous pivotal moment when 16-year-old Harold "Hal" Ditmar (James MacArthur) punches a cinema manager. Adapted from a TV play and released two years after the benchmark for delinquency movies, Rebel Without a Cause, it has none of that film's raw urgency, seeming staid and inconsequential in comparison. The primary problem is that Hal makes an unconvincing hoodlum. His misdemeanour is less an act of rebellion than a brief misunderstanding. Far from articulating the angst of a generation, his angry tirades against his parents (Kim Hunter and James Daly) and the police set him apart from his peers and feel more like the self-pitying whines of a privileged individual. This sensation is further exacerbated by the fact that all of his problems are swiftly resolved in an all-too-neat ending. Still, The Young Stranger is an interesting period piece, not least for an amusingly tame car chase from first-time feature director John Frankenheimer. --Paul Philpott
