During a subsequent search of his residence investigators discovered evidence linking him to the disappearance of several people dating back to March of 1995. The evidence gathered included Grone's journal and a canister containing two-and-a-half minutes of Super 8 film.In his journal Grone refers to the Super 8 footage as 'The Great American Snuff Film'.
