  Neelofar (Salma Agha) and Haider (Raj Babbar) a budding poet are fellow students at University. Unknown to Haider Neelofar is in love with her cousin Waseem (Deepak Parashar). After a grand Nikaah (marriage) Neelofar and Waseem's marital life hits a rough patch. When Waseem fails to turn up for their first wedding anniversary party Neelofar confronts Waseem - only to rebuild her life as a writer Neelofar comes across Haider who is now and Editor and publishes Neelofar's work. Haider take the role of a friend philosopher and guide-but still nurses a secret desire to have a future together-Neelofar starts reciprocating Haider's feelings.
