To this day they are still recognised as one of the most important and influential bands of the era. Not only hugely successful in their own right they were also inspiration for many other bands in the late 70’s and 80’s with the likes of Van Halen, The Jam and The Pretenders all covering their songs. In the 1990’s even the likes of Blur and Oasis cited them as a major influence on their own sound. Using archive footage and interviews with Ray Davies, former Managers Larry Page and Robert Wace this fascinating programme tells the story of this great band.
