  Relive all the highs and lows of West Ham United's 2002/03 Premiership season. Bottom of the table at Christmas the team knew that they had more than a mountain to climb but the ascent was attempted with victories at West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City and quality triumphs over London neighbours Tottenham and Chelsea. After Glenn Roeder was taken ill after seeing his side beat Middlesbrough in April Trevor Brooking stepped in as caretaker manager to oversee a run of seven points from nine in the last three games. In the end it wasn't quite enough but the kind of spirit shown in the later part of the season proved to many that this was a side too good to be away from the Premiership for very long.
