  Following the failure on yet another peace treaty between the Apache nation and the United States government a troop of cavalrymen attacked and massacred a sleeping camp of Indian men women and children. Unbeknown the them they left several survivors including a women and an Indian leader who were some of the few who had upheld the treaty.
