| RRP Shekhar the eldest son of a wealthy widower with 3 younger siblings meets Sharada at a nature cure clinic. Sharada and Shekhar fall in love but Shekhar has to go abroad on business. Before going he makes Sharada promise that she will wait for him. Meanwhile unaware that it is Shekhar's house Sharada goes there occasionally to look after his younger siblings whom she dotes on. Shekhar's plane crashes and his father feeling helpless marries Sharada for the sake of his younger children unaware of the relationship between Shekhar and Sharada. Shekhar survives the crash and returns only to get devastated on seeing that his sweet heart has become his stepmother. He starts drinking in despair but ultimately reconciles accepting Sharada as his mother and marrying Chanchal (Shyama). But happiness continues to evade him as Chanchal starts suspecting the relationship between Sharada and Shekhar causing Shekhar to leave home. Will Shekhar come back? Will there be place in his life and heart for his wife and newfound mother? Sharada was L.V. Prasad's debut into Hindi films and a rare coming together of Indian cinema's two legends Raj Kapoor and L.V. Prasad. It was also one of the few films starring Meena Kumari opposite Raj Kapoor. L.V. Prasad was nominated for Best Director in the Filmfare Awards while Shyama and Raj Mehra won as Best Supporting Actors.

He shows neither concern nor sympathy for the villager for taking everything lying low. He openly ridicules them for their cowardice and makes fun of their miseries. He is not interested in any one of them not even in the man who had given him shelter and promised to adopt him as own son. He tries to remain aloof from everybody. But the warmth and hospitality of the innocent villagers start pulling him out of the shell he has tried to create around himself. | RRP Ajit Singh is a leader of gang of bandits. He has his younger brother, Ranjeet, also in the gang. Ranjeet meets with a beautiful young woman named Aasha, and decides he does not want to be a bandit anymore, and much to the anger of Ajit and his henchman, Sarju, re-locates to the city, in order to live a peaceful life. But Ranjeet is arrested and held in prison. Then Sarju and Ajit come to the city and kidnap Aasha, as they know that Ranjeet will come back to rescue her. Ranjeet seeks the co-operation of the police, but they will only help him conditionally. Ranjeet escapes from the police, and goes back to the den of the bandits. He finds that Ajit is no longer the leader of the gang, as Sarju has forcibly taken over. Now both Ajit and Aasha are held hostage, and the only way to save their lives, is for Ranjeet to trade his in. But can Sarju be trusted with this trade?

Is the real Chimpu found? Ravi Chopra's directorial debut Zameer unveils this drama. Zameer was the only film in which the then superstar Amitabh Bachchan worked with the legendary B.R.Chopra. The movie had the hit combination of those times - Amitabh Bachchan & Vinod Khanna with other greats like Shammi Kapoor Saira Banu and Madan Puri in the cast. Sapan Chakravarty an assistant to R.D.Burman composed Sahir's soulful lyrics giving hit songs like Zindagi Hansne Gaane Ke Liye and Tum Bhi Chalo Hum Bhi Chalein.
