The ultimate tribute to the ultimate music legend. When The Beatles split up in 1970, John Lennon found himself carrying the weight of public adoration and expectation, as the break-up of the world's most influential band left a hole at the centre of popular culture that he was expected to fill. Leaving his native Britain in 1971, he travelled - as so many had before him - to the city of New York for the chance of a new life. As with so many immigrants to the Big Apple, Lennon sought freedom: freedom to be himself, to leave the Beatles behind and to live his life as a husband, father and artist. This feature-length documentary, produced with complete support from Yoko Ono, tells the definitive story of Lennon's solo career and the artistic choices he made in his new adopted city. Featuring access to never-before-seen material from the Lennon archives, rare recordings of some of his greatest solo hits and interviews with the likes of Yoko Ono, Elton John and Ringo Starr, this is the ultimate portrait of John Lennon in his post-Beatle years.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono appeared on The Dick Cavett Show three times. Clearly they enjoyed their time with Cavett as these television interviews stand out as their most relaxed and in-depth. They even cast him in one of their films. The September 11 1971 show is notable as the first American television interview John gave after the breakup of The Beatles. So comfortable were the Lennons that after the show was over they continued talking with Cavett. The additional portions of that first interview were shown as part of The Dick Cavett Show on September 24 1971. During that visit they'd discussed coming back and giving a live performance. True to there word for their appearance on Cavett's show on May 11 1972 they returned with Elephants Memory and each sang one song.

They were rich and famous loved and respected. And they decided to risk it all for a cause. In 1969 John Lennon and Yoko Ono embarked on a mission for peace that captured the front pages of newspapers and engaged the collective imagination of the world. Available from 23 September Direct Video Distribution is proud to give peace another chance with the DVD release of `John & Yoko: Year Of Peace' a fascinating chronicle of an extraordinary year. In May of 1969 John Lennon and Yoko Ono were the world's most notorious couple. Married in Gibraltar three months earlier their honeymoon took a strange and memorable turn. They kept themselves on the front pages of newspapers by kicking off a vocal and visible campaign for world peace. The campaign was wide-eyed and innocent based on a simple self-evident truth: there would be no war if everyone just said no. For seven consecutive days from a bed in Montreal's Queen Elizabeth Hotel the Beatle known as ""The Dangerous One"" called for unity. ""Because we haven't got peace in the seven days doesn't make it a waste of time you know"" Lennon said. ""I believe sincerely as soon as people want peace and they're aware that they can have it they will have it."" Eventually the couple did get out of bed and embarked on a year-long peace campaign which eventually resulted in a meeting of the minds with people such as the respected Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. But John and Yoko's campaign never stopped. There were many rallies protests and manifestos still to come... Compiled from footage recently found in the basement of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation `John & Yoko: Year Of Peace' begins with scenes from the Montreal bed-in and follows Lennon and Ono through the year the period in which the classic 'Give Peace A Chance' was recorded. Directed by journalist Paul McGrath the film captures many of the candid talks from the Montreal stunt including Lennon's interaction with such politically oriented figures as Timothy Leary civil rights activist Dick Gregory and right-wing cartoonist Al Capp. It also features present-day interviews with the often-reserved Yoko Ono; filmmaker Patrick Watson; Allan Rock then a college student now a cabinet minister; Ritchie Yorke Canada's leading rock reporter; concert promoter John Brower and singer Ronnie Hawkins all of whom share their personal recollections of that time. Included among the archival footage featured is the Canadian bed-in; a Montreal radio station broadcasting live from their room and a teenage reporter being allowed access to the former Beatle. McGrath producer Alan Lysaght and their team have seamlessly fused together these various elements to produce an intimate and insightful account of one of the most private public couples in popular culture. Set Comprises: Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room (2005): This searing examination of the Enron accounting scandal reveals the psychology of greed and corporate corruption that facilitated the company's rise to power and also its fall. When Enron went bankrupt in 2001 the principals walked away millionaires--but later faced legal proceedings and jail sentences. Meanwhile many employees and investors were left with nothing not even their retirement savings. Shedding light on the new economy of the 1990s when predictions and book-cooking flourished without actual profits the film shows how it was not Enron alone but a network of bankers traders and accountants who turned a blind eye to the company's clearly suspicious numbers. CEO Ken Lay and top dogs Jeff Skilling and Andy Fastow give candid interviews that illustrate their skill at deflecting hard questions and egotistically boasting about the company's success. In one of the company's cold and calculated moves - which caused the California power outages and lead to the ousting of governor Gray Davis - Enron employees are shown laughing at forest fires. Unbelievable footage of employees reveals unbridled greed lust for risk-taking and guiltless cheating all while thinking they could never be caught. Finally a few brave whistle-blowers stepped forward including Bethany McLean author of the Enron novel upon which this film is based who wrote an article in Fortune magazine calling the company's bluff. A remarkable documentary which packages the events of the scandal into a cohesive story this is one film not to miss! One Day In September (1999): 1972. The Munich Olympic Games. 121 nations. 7 123 competitors. Over a billion viewers and 8 Palestinian terrorists. For the first time in over 25 years the truth is revealed. One Day In September is the incredible shocking story about the brutal massacre of Israeli athletes by a team of extremist Palestinian terrorists during the 1972 Munich Olympics. Finally the unbelievable truth is revealed: how eight terrorists easily snuck into the Olympic Village and took 11 innocent athletes hostage the tension-filled negotiations that followed and the shocking conclusion at a German airport that stunned the world. Featuring the frightening perspective of the only surviving terrorist and revelatory facts about what really happened on that dark night. Directed by Kevin MacDonald and narrated by Michael Douglas One Day In September unfolds like a gripping thriller - except this unforgettable story is completely true... The US Vs John Lennon (2006): Before Iraq before the Bush Administration before the Dixie Chicks Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam... there was John Lennon the celebrated musical artist who used his fame and fortune to protest against the Vietnam War and advocate for world peace. Filmmakers David Leaf and John Scheinfield trace Lennon's metamorphosis from loveable ""mop-top"" to
