French World War II drama chronicling the famous 1944 'Red Poster' case, in which a group of foreign partisans defied French apathy to form their own resistance against the Nazi occupation. Exiled Armenian poet Missak Manouchian (Simon Abkarian) is living in occupied Paris with his wife Melinee (Virginie Ledoyen). Though a pacifist at heart, Manouchian joins the underground resistance in desperation, along with a group of young hothead emigres from around the world. Initially the Germans rely on the French police to quell the insurgents, but after the murder of a high-ranking general they step up the pressure on Manouchian and his fellow partisans, who are portrayed in Nazi propaganda as 'the army of crime'.

Please note this is a region B Blu-ray and will require a region B or region free Blu-ray player in order to play. The poet Missak Manouchian leads a mixed bag of youngsters and immigrants in a clandestine battle against the Nazi occupation. Twenty-two men and one woman fighting for an ideal and for freedom. News of their daring attacks, including the assassination of an SS general, eventually reaches Berlin.   Actors: Virginie Ledoyen, Simon Abkarian, Robinson Stévenin, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Lola Naymark Directors: Robert Guédiguian Writers: Serge Le Peron, Gilles Taurand Producers: Dominique Barneaud Language: French Subtitles: English Number of discs: 1
