“From The Sky Down” is the brand new documentary film directed by writer and producer David Guggenheim which follows the production process of U2’s 1991 album “Achtung Baby”, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. This film acts as an excellent insight into what exactly goes on behind the scenes when the band creates an album, and also documents the relationship that the band members have with each other when in and out of the studio. The documentary also features stills from recording sessions along with some archival footage and unreleased scenes from the... 1988 motion picture “Rattle and Hum”. U2 were filmed during a visit to Hansa Studios in Berlin where they recorded parts of the album whilst cameras also followed them when they rehearsed in Winnipeg for their performance at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival. “From The Sky Down” is definitely worth a watch for anybody with interest in the band. The release is a solid glimpse of creative alchemy that viewers will enjoy from beginning to end. –T.P [show more]
