Hidden Kingdoms 3D is a groundbreaking 3D special made in conjunction with the much-anticipated BBC 1 series - billed as 'Pixar meets Life'. Using the immersive power of 3D audiences will be transported into magical worlds and experience the titanic battles our two mini-superheroes - a chipmunk and grasshopper mouse - face just to survive. Our characters may be separated across the North American continent but they're united by the challenges associated with diminutive size. Their contrasting tales will be tightly interwoven into one engaging and entertaining narrative... playing out over the course of an extraordinary day - a day packed with dramatic highs and lows. Our heroes may be small but they're also deadly and able to pack a punch well above their weight. The challenges that each creature faces almost defy belief. A sudden rainstorm releases raging torrents that can wash away the grasshopper mouse's home in seconds; to a bug a falling acorn is as catastrophic as a crashing meteorite! This is a world where dirt stings like gravel and a sudden gust of wind feels like a tornado. Time has a whole different meaning too in these Hidden Kingdoms.
