Pasquale Festa Campanile co-writes and directs this Italian crime thriller. Travelling across California to Los Angeles, married couple Walter (Franco Nero) and Eve Mancini (Corinne Cléry) pick up hitch-hiker Adam Konitz (David Hess). Their new companion takes the pair hostage and orders them to drive to Mexico, revealing himself to be an escaped mental patient on the run from the law after robbing a bank.
