Inglorious Basterds starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender, is a classic Tarantino film, which cleverly amalgamates different genres and is utterly engaging.
In German occupied France a group of Jewish-American guerrilla soldiers called "The Basterds" are selected to torment and scare the Third Reich by brutally maiming and killing Nazis. The Basterds one-day cross paths with a French-Jewish woman, Shosanna, who is intent on revenge against The Third Reich, in particular Colonel Hans Landa, after he slaughtered her family. She now owns... a movie theatre, which is about to hold a premier attended by every Nazi officer in the area; it works out to be the perfect opportunity for her and the Basterds to make their bloody mark and shake the foundations of history.
