Genre-crossing drama starring Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet. Newly escaped from prison, convicted murderer Frank (Brolin) is desperate for a place to lay low for a couple of days. When he approaches the divorced single mother Adele (Winslet) and her son Henry (Gattlin Griffith) in a supermarket they feel threatened by his bloody clothes and forceful manner and, although reluctant to do so, they escort him back to their house. Then, in an unexpected turn of luck, they learn that Frank means them no harm and instead of maintaining his identity as a killer-on-the-run he adopts that of being a father to Henry and a lover to Adele. But with the manhunt still in process, will their new shot at domestic bliss be short-lived?
