Live performances of two classic operas by Claudio Monteverdi. Rinaldo Allandrini leads the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala and the Concerto Italiano in the 2009 production of 'L'Orfeo' directed by Robert Wilson. Featured performers include Georg Nigl, Roberta Invernizzi, Sara Mingardo and Luigi De Donato. Swedish soprano Miah Persson heads the cast in David Alden's production of 'L'incoronazione Di Poppea' recorded live at Barcelona's Gran Teatre Del Liceu in 2009. Other featured soloists include Sarah Connolly, Jordi Domènech and Franz-Josef Selig, all under the direction of conductor Harry Bicket.
