Masahiko Murata directs the fourth feature-length spin-off of the popular Japanese anime series. Naruto (voice of Junko Takeuchi) is on the verge of capturing a rogue ninja called Mukade (Ryûzaburô Otomo) when a power is invoked that sends him back in time to the ancient city of Loran. Naruto quickly finds himself caught up in the power struggle at the heart of the city. This also involves Mukade, as well as Minato Namikaze (Toshiyuki Morikawa) and Sara (Saori Hayami), the Queen of Loran.
