Who says a fake can't do the same job as the real thing? Koyomi Araragi's brush with the strange and supernatural continues in Nisemonogatari but this time it may hit a little closer to home. There's been a rash of curses running through the local middle school so Karen and Tsukihi Araragi - the 'Fire Sisters'- are hunting the culprit. The source of the problem however might turn out to be a figure from Senjyogahara's past: Deishu Kaiki. Kaiki is a con-man always chasing a quick buck no matter who his victims are.
