1970s mystery thriller starring Cliff Robertson as devoted family man Michael Courtland. Michael is obsessed with the memory of his wife (Genevieve Bujold) and daughter who are presumed dead after a bungled kidnap rescue on his tenth wedding anniversary 16 years ago. On a business trip to Florence he comes across Sandra (also played by Bujold), who is the spitting image of his wife, falls in love with her and brings her back to America where they plan to marry.
