Erik Skjoldbjaerg directs this conspiracy thriller starring Aksel Hennie and Wes Bentley. In the early 1980s, when oil and gas deposits are found in the North Sea, divers from Norway and America go up against each other in a bid to win a lucrative deal. Norwegians Petter (Hennie) and his brother Knut (André Eriksen) and American Mike (Bentley) must dive to dangerous depths to bring the resources to the shore through a pipeline 500 metres below the ocean's surface. When tragedy strikes, Petter is left trying to discover the cause of an accident that resulted in the death of his brother. He finds the truth is being covered up by the authorities, however, and in his search for answers he puts his own life at risk.
