Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play.  Meryl Streep as you have never seen her before, a hard-rocking singer & guitarist, in Ricki and the Flash, from Oscar®-winning director Jonathan Demme (Best Director, The Silvence of the Lambs, 1991) and Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (Best Original Screenplay, June, 2007). In an original and electrifying film loaded with live musical performances, Streep stars as Ricki Rendazzo, a guitar heroine who made a world of mistakes as she followed her dreams of rock-and-roll stardom. Returning home, Ricki gets a shot at redemption and a chance to make things right as she faces the music with her family.  

Meryl Streep stars in this comedy drama directed by Jonathan Demme. When Ricki (Streep) made the decision to pursue her dream of becoming a rock star, she left behind her husband Pete (Kevin Kline) and their two children, Julie and Joshua (Mamie Gummer and Sebastian Stan). Years later, Ricki receives a phone call from Pete informing her that Julie is getting a divorce, and he asks her to return home to help her through the difficult time. As Ricki attempts to make up for lost time with her family, she learns that life has moved on without her and has to come to terms with the fact that her children no longer need her.
