Lasse Hallström directs this British comedy drama based on the bestselling novel by Paul Torday. Ewan McGregor stars as Alfred Jones, a mild-mannered government fisheries official who is approached by management consultant Harriet Chetwode-Talbot (Emily Blunt) to help a sheikh (Amr Waked) realise his long-held dream of introducing fly-fishing to the Middle Eastern desert. The duo soon find themselves swimming against the tide in more ways than one as the extravagant project gathers pace and a few poignant home truths come home to roost. Kristin Scott Thomas co-stars.
