Stop-motion animated feature following Mark Twain (voice of James Whitmore) as he boards an airship and goes searching for Halley's Comet. Born in November, 1835, just after the comet's perihelion, Twain is determined to 'go out' with it when it next reaches its nearest distance to the sun. He decides the best way to ensure this is to find the comet and crash into it. His travelling companions, Huck Finn (Gary Krug), Tom Sawyer (Chris Ritchie) and Becky Thatcher (Michele Mariana) try to prevent him from going through with his plan. On their journey the adventurers take a look at Twain's philosophy and inspirations.
