Live performance of Tchaikovsky's work by the Berlin State Ballet featuring choreography developed from the original by Vasily Medvedev and Yuri Burlaka. The festive story follows a young girl whose nutcracker doll, given to her by her uncle, comes to life at the stroke of midnight. The cast includes Iana Salenko, Marian Walter, Michael Banzhaf and Arshak Ghalumyan. Robert Reimer conducts the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
