The Transfiguration Blu Ray

| Blu Ray

Set in Queens, New York City, The Transfiguration is an atmospheric drama that focuses on 14-year-old Milo, a troubled outsider who takes refuge in the vampire mythology he studies to the point of obsession. When a chance encounter with equally lonely neighbour Sophie leads him to develop new, romantic feelings, Milo begins struggling to suppress his dark urges - and a terrible secret. The directorial debut from indie filmmaker Michael O'Shea won plaudits at the 69th Cannes Film Festival for its bold and unusual take on the classic coming-of-age tale, with added bite.

Eric Ruffin and Chloe Levine star in this horror written and directed by Michael O'Shea. The film follows New York teenager Milo (Ruffin), a vampire living in a run-down housing project in Queens. Harassed by local gang members who take exception to his distant and reserved manner, Milo spends his days watching vampire films and his nights silently roaming the streets looking to satisfy his lust for blood. However, when troubled teen Sophia (Levine) moves into his apartment building, Milo does his best to suppress his desire to feed as he begins to develop an unlikely relationship with his new neighbour. The cast also includes Aaron Clifton Moten, Lloyd Kaufman and Larry Fessenden.
