Sydney Pollack directs this thriller based on the novel by James Grady. Robert Redford stars as Joe Turner, a mild-mannered CIA researcher who returns from lunch one day to discover all of his co-workers have been killed. When his efforts to inform higher CIA management result in attempts on his life he is no longer sure of who he can trust. Turner convinces Kathy (Faye Dunaway), a woman he meets in a ski shop, to hide him in her apartment until he can figure out who is responsible and why. The cast also includes Cliff Robertson and Addison Powell.
