Riccardo Chailly conducts the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra and Chorus in this production of Puccini's work. Nina Stemme performs the title role with Aleksandrs Antonenko as Prince Calaf. Set in China, the opera follows Prince Calaf as he attempts to win Princess Turandot's heart, risking his life in the process. The cast also includes Alexander Tsymbalyuk, Maria Agresta, Angelo Veccia, Roberto Covatta and Giorgio Merighi.
