The year is 2077. A decade earlier robot technology had become so advanced that the United Nations concerned that further developments may lead to the 'weaponization' of the human body passed a resolution banning the use of android technology. Choosing to defy the treaty in order to allow the mega-corporation Daiwa to continue its research Japan became a lone renegade nation effectively shutting itself off from the rest of the world. Isolated and shielded from all outside communication and satellite surveillance with nobody having entered or left the country for ten years Japan has become a mystery to all those living outside its borders. Fearing that Daiwa may now have taken its bio-tech android programme to the ultimate extreme a crack US Special Forces Unit is tasked with infiltrating Japan on an intelligence mission. Led by a determined young female commander Vexille the unit hooks up with a band of Japanese underground rebels who have refused to conform to the dictates of the Daiwa Corporation. But what Vexille and her team uncover inside Japan proves to be far more devastating than anybody could possibly have imagined and soon they find themselves fighting a battle that will determine the future of all humanity.

Stranger Than Fiction: Stranger Than Fiction is an inventive comedy about a novelist (Emma Thompson) struggling to complete her latest and potentially finest book - she only has to find a way to kill off her main character Harold Crick and she'll be done. Little does she know that Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) is inexplicably alive and well in the real world and suddenly aware of her words. Fiction and reality collide when the bewildered and hilariously resistant Harold hears what she has in mind and realizes he must find a way to change her (and his) ending. The Pursuit Of Happyness (2006): Chris Gardner is a bright and talented but marginally employed salesman. Struggling to make ends meet Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go. When Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm he and his son endure many hardships including living in shelters in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them. Reign Over Me (2007): Adam Sandler Don Cheadle Jada Pinkett Smith and Liv Tyler star in this heart-rending story about Charlie Fineman (Sandler) who has slipped away from reality after the sudden loss of his wife and children. But Charlie's life takes a turn for the better when he runs into his old college roommate Alan Johnson (Cheadle) whose life is torn between the demands of career and family. Hitch (2005): In Andy Tennant's delightful romantic comedy Hitch Will Smith stars as Alex Hitchens an urban date doctor who helps the common man woo the woman of his dreams. Unfortunately Lucy lost her short-term memory months ago in a car accident and for her each day is October the 13th. She follows the same routine every day - breakfast at the same restaurant pineapple-picking with her dad and eventually bed time where sleep wipes away her short-term memory. Henry however refuses to be forgotten and as his puppy love matures he embarks on a quest to restore her memory or at least be a part of her everyday routine. But vying for Lucy's attention isn't always easy. Henry explores various approaches before making a video for Lucy to watch every morning reminding her of who she is and what she's doing... Closer (2004): Writer Patrick Marber adapted the screenplay from his own scathing stageplay in which a chance meeting between Englishman Dan (Jude Law) and American visitor Alice blossoms into a troubled relationship bringing together and then affecting a second couple involving Larry (Clive Owen) and Anna (Julia Roberts).
