| RRP Monkey business abounds in this spirited musical comedy updating Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew to 1930s London, with Stanley Lupino as the young man attempting to tame his formidably feisty bride leading Hollywood comedienne Thelma Todd. You Made Me Love You is featured in a new High Definition transfer from the original film elements, in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio. Encountering a captivatingly beautiful young woman in a traffic jam, besotted songwriter Tom Daly is inspired to pen a successful new song, 'What's Her Name?' When Tom tracks down his mystery blonde he finds she's none other Pamela Berne, a horribly spoilt, fear-inspiring heiress who remains violently opposed to the idea of marriage! | RRP If you should come upon a glowing, possibly extraterrestrial object buried in a hole, go ahead and touch the thing--you might just get superpowers. Or so it goes for the three high-school buds in Chronicle, an inventive excursion into the teenage sci-fi world. Once affected by the power, the guys exercise the joys of telekinesis: shuffling cars around in parking lots, moving objects in grocery stores, that kind of thing. Oh yeah--they can fly, too: and here director Josh Trank takes wing, in the movie's giddiest sequence, as the trio zips around the clouds in a glorious wish-fulfillment. It goes without saying that there will be a shadow side to this gift, and that's where Chronicle, for all its early cleverness, begins to stumble. Broody misfit Andrew (Dane DeHaan), destined to be voted Least Likely to Handle Superpowers Well by his graduating class, is documenting all this with his video camera, which is driving him even crazier (the movie's in "found footage" style, so everything we see is from a camcorder or security camera, an approach that gets trippy when Andrew realises he can levitate his camera without having to hold it). Trank and screenwriter Max Landis (son of John) seem to lose inspiration when the last act rolls around, so the movie settles for weightless battles around the Space Needle and a smattering of mass destruction. Still, let's give Chronicle credit for an offbeat angle, and a handful of memorable scenes. --Robert Horton

After being gone for five years, during which he suffered unimaginable ordeals, billionaire Oliver Queen returned home to Starling City with a mysterious agenda and a set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime in this hard-hitting action series. Reinventing the DC Entertainment character for a modern-day audience, the Arrow is not a super hero ... but a hero -- every bit as formidable as the criminals he's hunting. Determined to right his city's wrongs and sworn to bring justice to those who have corrupted it, Oliver (aka The Arrow) -- with the help of his iron-fisted right hand, John Diggle, the tech-savvy Felicity Smoak and the newest member of the team, Roy Harper -- narrowly defeats the vengeful Slade Wilson, his onetime ally and mentor on the island of Lian Yu. But like all wars, there are casualties. Sacrificing herself for her children, Moira Queen falls at the hand of Deathstroke, sending Oliver's sister, Thea, into self-imposed exile with her biological father, Malcolm Merlyn. Now, to honor his fallen friends and family and protect the people he loves, Oliver must rededicate himself to his cause -- to become a beacon of hope for those most in need, and a weapon of justice against those who prey upon them. He is The Arrow.

This time the kids are a little older and a lot more experienced as they fight to save the world and secure their reputation as the best in town. After proving themselves as top-notch spies like their parents (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) in the original SPY KIDS, Carmen and Juni Cortez (Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara) are now at the top of the new OSS kids division. That is, until they meet a new sibling spy team, Gary and Gerti Giggles (Matthew O'Leary and Emily Osment), and their position is threatened. In order to rescue Carmen and save the world from the domination of the Toymaker, Juni must journey inside of the videogame and risk his own life to beat it and the various riddles and monsters designed to challenge him. Leaving his spy parents (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) behind, Juni brings along his Grandfather (Ricardo Montelban) and OSS agents Cesca (Salma Hayek) and Donnagon Giggles (Mike Judge) to help him save the world. Once inside the technicolour reality Juni must conquer each level of the game while avoiding death and the ultimate videogame defeat: game over. Rodriguez' usual brand of high-octane adventure and nonstop action is fueled by the film's 3-D animation and numerous celebrity cameos including: Steve Buscemi, Alan Cumming, Bill Paxton, and Elijah Wood.
