Black Country Communion, the English-American rock group featuring the talents of bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze), blues rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater), now release their much-anticipated concert DVD and Blu Ray, ‘Live Over Europe’. The performances were filmed with 14 HD cameras during the summer of 2011 in the German cities of Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. Producer Kevin Shirley explains, “we saw that this live act could be an awesome force of nature to behold; that promised legendary performances like those of our heroes of Classic Rock (and I have seen some of my all time favourite performances at a Black Country Communion gig because they are that good). The plan was to get them out there, for the world to hear. Records allow a certain musical finesse, but live performance promises so much in the very transient nature of a gig - chances are taken, boundaries are crossed - and the most exciting performances explode. Two studio albums would build a repertoire big enough for a full concert and then we could unleash the monster for all the world to see and feel... so here it is!” Track Listing: 1. NASA's worst nightmare turned into one of the space agency's most heroic moments in 1970, when the Apollo 13 crew was forced to hobble home in a disabled capsule after an explosion seriously damaged the moon-bound spacecraft. Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon and Bill Paxton play (respectively) astronauts Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise in director Ron Howard's intense, painstakingly authentic docudrama. The Apollo 13 crew and Houston-based mission controllers race against time and heavy odds to return the damaged spacecraft safely to Earth from a distance of 205,500 miles. Using state-of-the-art special effects and ingenious film-making techniques, Howard and his stellar cast and crew build nail-biting tension while maintaining close fidelity to the facts. The result is a fitting tribute to the Apollo 13 mission and one of the biggest box-office hits of 1995. --Jeff Shannon

In the 1950s, Chet Baker (Ethan Hawke - Boyhood) was one of the most famous trumpeters in the world, renowned as both a pioneer of the West Coast jazz scene and an icon of cool. By the 1960s, he was all but washed up, his career and personal life in shambles due to years of addiction. Outrageous, absurdist, grotesque! Often hilarious, always stylish, and utterly unpredictable, the films of Spanish director Ãlex de la Iglesia are an exhilarating shock to the cinematic system. Produced by legendary provocateur Pedro Almodóvar, de la Iglesia's debut feature Acción Mutante is a violent sci-fi black comedy set in a post-apocalyptic world where attractive people hold all the power and a terrorist group, who see themselves as mutants, take arms to rid the world of their superficial oppressors. With his second feature, The Day of the Beast (El dÃa de la bestia) de la Iglesia delivered one of the greatest horror comedies of all time as a Catholic priest joins forces with a heavy metal fan, and the host of a popular occult TV show to kill the Antichrist on Christmas Eve. A critical and commercial success around the world, The Day of the Beast paved the way for gonzo action-crime-horror Perdita Durango, (aka Dance with the Devil) a Spanish-US-Mexican co-production based on a novel by Barry Gifford (author of Wild at Heart). Starring Rosie Perez (Do the Right Thing), a then little known Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) and James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), Perdita Durango is a twisted tale of love, guns, drugs, voodoo ceremonies, and refrigerated foetuses... Making their UK debut on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray with a wealth of new and archival extras, Arrow Video welcomes you to the delirious, diabolical and demented world of Ãlex de la Iglesia. Kevin Jerome Everson's epic, immersive, observational eight-hour documentary Park Lanes follows workers in an American factory over the course of an eight-hour shift, from clock-in to clock-out, experienced and presented in real time. Rendering the often invisible and unacknowledged routines and rhythms of manufacturing visible, the film also celebrates the craft and skill developed through the repetition of movements and gestures and explores not just the relationship between film and spectator, but of labourers and their machines.
Elisabeth Moss gives a tour-de-force performance as Shirley Jackson, one of the greatest horror writers of the 20th Century, in this unconventional biopic from the brilliant mind of director Josephine Decker (Madeline's Madeline) and executive producer Martin Scorsese.
George Armitage (Grosse Pointe Blank) adapted celebrated noir author Charles Willeford's novel Miami Blues for the screen with new star Alec Baldwin in the lead role as Frederick J. Frenger, Jr., a sociopathic criminal. Arriving in Miami fresh out of jail he commits one crime after another when he meets young hooker Susie (Jennifer Jason Leigh, Single White Female) who he starts to build a pseudo-married life with, including the home cooking and the white picket fence. As Frederick tries to juggle domesticity with his mounting crimes, dogged cop Hoke Moseley (Fred Ward, Tremors) threatens to put his freedom in jeopardy. Baldwin is brilliant as the unhinged criminal tearing through Miami while Armitage perfectly balances the humour and violence in this singular crime comedy that betrays the quirky influence of producer Jonathan Demme (Something Wild, Married to the Mob).
